Product Description: This CD product provides you with a pre-bundled package of Vermont GIS data.  It includes all primary "basemap" layers (transportation, hydrography, topography, land use/cover, political boundaries, etc.) necessary for basic mapping.  This product is primarily designed for users looking to jump-start their GIS operation.  You will no longer need to download, extract, and import dozens of data layers just to make a simple map.  Just pop the CD into your CD-ROM drive and start mapping*. 

Purpose:

1. To distribute "base map" data in a convenient form.
2. To familiarize novices and advanced GIS users with the many resources available to them in Vermont.
3. To provide novices and advanced users with examples of how GIS can be used.
4. To introduce novices to GIS and VCGI
